Minecraft Announces Lightyear Collaboration DLC Available Now

A Minecraft DLC based on Lightyear by Pixar includes new content, including Buzz's birth story. The latest Minecraft blog post described the Lightyear DLC as an "blocky intergalactic adventure" that will feature five missions. These missions allow players to fight off enemies with various gadgets, survive hostile environments, and fly various aircrafts to avoid obstacles.

"In the Lightyear DLC, you'll get to play through Buzz's origin story and help Buzz navigate an alien planet after an unfortunate crash landing," a part of the post reads. You can complete five missions as this Academy-trained hero. more This includes an arid swamp and a hostile jungle as well as mining and other alien settlements.

The Lightyear DLC will also come with a free Lightyear-themed Character Creator. It's currently not available on Nintendo Switch, but the blog indicated that it would be available soon.
